Cheryl Edgett, singer/songwriter, artist, actor, has lent her talents to a wealth of performers and performed on stages from Casino Nova Scotia and Halifax’s Rebecca Cohn Auditorium to 10,000 seat concerts in Ho Chi Mihn and Hanoi, Vietnam, the Woodford Folk Festival in Australia and The Smith Center for Performing Arts in Las Vegas, USA.
Cheryl has collaborated with talented artists including Bubba Knight (Gladys Knight and the Pips), Kelly Price, Savion Glover (Happy Feet), Lorraine Segato, Ron Hynes, Clint Holmes, Charlie A’Court, Classified, Sylvio Pupo, Frank MacKay, Paul Simons, Paul Harris, Cathy Jones, Holly Arsenault, Doug Mallory, Woody Woods, Measha Brueggergosman, Dutch Robinson, Jully Black, JRDN, Owen O’Sound Lee, the Nova Scotia Mass Choir and Broadway in the Hood to name a few.
Cheryl is a long-standing member and soloist with the award-winning “Nova Scotia Mass Choir”. In 2016 an original composition “The Lamb”, was recorded on the Nova Scotia Mass Choir’s CD “Immanuel”.
Cheryl performed with and composed music for Broadway in the Hood, Source of Joy Theatricals, based in Las Vegas under the direction of Mr Torrey Russell for the original musical “Descendants’.
In 2019 Cheryl co-wrote the musical “A Christmas Dollhouse” with composer Vladimir Sitnikov and the 12-song soundtrack of the same title, released in 2019. At present Cheryl and Vladimir are composing a musical based on Nova Scotia History and folklore entitled “Oak Island Treasure” to debut in the summer of 2021.
Cheryl looks forward to releasing an album of original R&B jazz fusion songs in 2021.
